Goat Willow’s Vision
Goat Willow Pottery CIC is a not-for-profit social enterprise community pottery. Our aim is that revenue from classes will eventually allow the opportunity for subsidised places within each blok, creating an inclusive and supportive pottery environment within our local community.
Discover our services
Goat Willow Pottery CIC offers daytime and evening classes, and through funding is able to offer subsidised classes periodically. We are also happy to offer smaller group one-off classes, allowing an opportunity for family groups, hen nights, or ‘sip and paint’ sessions. Individual one to one lessons also available on request.

Team building
from £ 30 Looking for a fun, unique activity for your staff team? Our pottery class is the perfect way to come together and get creative. Tailor the session to suit, whether you want to keep it simple using moulds, try a bit of handbuilding or see how everyone gets on using the potters wheel. A great way to get together, bond as a team and you’ll have a special keepsake to take home. Book your group today for an unforgettable, hands-on experience!
Sip and Paint
from £30 Sip, paint, and create! Join us for a relaxed and fun pottery class—bring your own bottle and enjoy a drink while you unleash your inner artist! Whether you’re a pottery pro or a total beginner, it’s the perfect way to unwind, have a laugh, and make something beautiful. You will be provided with 2-3 handmade items ready to paint, aprons and glasses provided, don’t forget your favorite drink, and let’s get crafting!
Featured Classes
Introduction to Pottery
These classes are perfect for beginners and a chance to try out all of the handbuilding skills as well as having a go on the wheel. There will be two sessions of 3 hours, taking place two weeks apart so that we can fire your work ready to glaze for your second session. You should have 2-5 pieces of work to take home.
Beginners 8-week block
A great opportunity to develop skills and refine pieces of work. There will be more time to practice on the wheel, learning how to trim and finish thrown work, as well as exploring different decoration techniques using slips and glazes. There will be support and technical advice for you to design and fulfil your own projects and ideas. Classes are 2.5 hours
Daytime 6-week block
These sessions offer a chance to explore all of the handbuilding techniques and use the wheel. There will be time to try out fun and different methods of decoration and glazing. Here, you can make pieces using step by step methods or work on your own ideas and designs. Classes are 2 hours.
